On a warm weekend in July, we went down to the farm and finally got to meet little Adalyn! She was blessed on Sunday when we were down there. Devon is obsessed with babies right now and wanted to hold her. He was even trying to share his toys with her, but she wasn't interested.
Ev and Jill were very patient with Devon. He loved having them to help him get water in all the little watering cans Grandma has. He was in heaven!
We spent one afternoon at the pool. We were planning on going more, but it was so hot and windy, and windy means dusty at the farm. We took advantage of the one nice day and it was a lot of fun!
How many kids can you find in this picture? Devon loved using the arm floaties. He had never used them before, and I was really surprised that he loved to just float.
Devon was pretty shy and reserved, but Uncle Ben quickly figured out how to become Devon's best buddy.
All the grandkids helped Grandma with some yardwork.
They made quick work of removing the rocks from the flowerbeds.
The kids built a trampoline fort out of cardboard boxes - it was funny to watch them "try" and work together. They did pretty well.
Devon loved having the trampoline all to himself.
Now he jumps around the house, saying, "jump! jump! jump!"
Three "boys" + explosives. I'll leave it at that. :)
Shooting some guns and learning about gun safety.
Good-bye hugs!
We all had so much fun. The boys didn't want to leave. Clayton cried and cried right after we left. It was soo sad. They keep asking, "when can we go back?"
