our december

We spent two weeks in Idaho.

Drove 2,267 miles. Seriously. With 3 kids. And we lived to tell about it.

Tyler spent a grand total of only 4 days home the entire month. He was either traveling for work or on vacation with us.

Grandma and Grandpa rented snow machines. The little 'aliens' had so much fun!

Ready for church.

Jaren got McQueen slippers for Christmas. I'm glad someone else liked them.
He still refuses to wear them.

Jaren had a hard time walking in the snow. "There's too much snow, Grandma!"

Grandpa and the Dads took the kiddos ice fishing. Good thing Mom and Grandma came to the rescue after half of them stepped/fell into a hole.

They did catch a fish, so all was right with the world.

Kaden learned how to sled/tube behind a 4-wheeler. He loved it.

My next mission is to get him on a tube behind a boat.

Santa stayed for Christmas morning!

Monsters were decorated by the boys for each other and made by mom.

Kaden figured out the Tinker Toys and built machines all by himself.

He also made them into swords. Such a boy...

More snow machines...

I took Jaren for a ride. He was bobbing on the way home with sleepiness.

Reading books...the only time it was quiet when all the cousins were out playing.

We had so much fun seeing everyone - so many fun times with family and friends. Thanks for having us, it went by way too fast!

I'm still seeing piles everywhere that I need to go through -- the typical things to deal with when coming home from vacation. And gearing up for the next few months when Tyler will be traveling. A lot.

Jaren won't wear Cars slippers?!

Sounds like a super fun trip. We missed you here but are glad you had fun!
