Rapid increase of precipitation=Flooding

On Saturday Nicole and Kaden went to a Birthday party so I took Jaren to see how high the river still was after last weeks flooding. When I got home and compared pictures to ones taken in April/May of 07 this what I found.

Yes the flooding was severe enough to pick up that large boulder and move it about 50 yds downstream. The platform Nicole & Kaden are standing on in the May 07 had driftwood on it yesterday, it had been under water a few days ago.

Drift wood was lodged against the other side of this large rock, it looked like the water had been as high as the top of this rock.

This is a chart showing the volume of water flowing down the river. Pretty crazy how fast the water fluctuated. As most of you probably saw on the news all this water meant lots of people downstream were under water. Fortunately Marysville isn't on a flood plain so we didn't have any problems.

Make sure if you buy a house up there it isn't in the flood plain!
It's amazing the force of the water and that bolder moving. Hopefully we will be up there again soon and go see the change!
