Sunday

Today, the weather was beautiful. For a fall day in October. We had a good time at church this morning, and walked outside to warm sunshine.

We went on a late afternoon walk and the boys discovered lots of caterpillars, and some snake roadkill. A few weeks ago, we found at least three snakes on the road that had all been run over. Interesting. The boys are really into animals and wildlife. Their movie of choice on netflix is usually some PBS or National Geographic show about animals. It's educational, right?

Yesterday, they watched Nature: Leave it to Beavers. Tonight, they watched Nature: Meet the Coy-wolf. The shows are about an hour long, and really well done. Wild Kratts on Netflix was another series that they watched quite a bit of, and while they are based on real facts, they are actually quite silly. They did learn quite a bit from watching them, even though the show drove me crazy.

A preview of Halloween. Kaden is the only one that doesn't have a costume, so we are going to take care of that tomorrow. Wish me luck. He is starting to get pretty picky about what he wears, and what he doesn't like. We've got a busy couple weeks ahead with Halloween parties, Grandma and Grandpa coming (with apples. Yum!), and all the usual stuff that having three kids in school involves. Should be fun!
